How she’s multiplying good: She is One in a Million. Emily Chinn created FreetheFlow in her Sophomore Year of high school to provide feminine hygiene products to women in need and help end period poverty. Writing essays on the effects of period poverty, Emily felt extremely inclined to make a difference and help menstruators in need. Working with her school and community, FreetheFlow has raised over $700 dollars in monetary donations and has collected over 3,000 feminine hygiene products. Along with organizing drives and fundraisers, FreetheFlow has given many menstruators volunteering opportunities. Starting from three students, Emily has expanded FreetheFlow nationwide and will be opening chapters across the country in order to help serve more periods. FreetheFlow hopes to reach its goal of $2000 dollars and 6,000 feminine hygiene products by the end of the summer.
