One in a Million Award recipient: Aaron Lim
Where they are multiplying good: San Francisco, CA
How they are multiplying good: As restaurants continue to have a difficult time during the shelter in place order, Lim wanted to give back to his Chinatown community. He developed a plan to deliver meals from his favorite Chinatown restaurants to his friends and family all through out Bay Area. Initially he started delivering orders on his own and by the end of the project he had a team of 15+ volunteers, 12 pick up locations and had delivered 479 orders in one day! Instead of accepting gas money for delivery, Aaron requests that his friends and family make a donation to support the Chinatown Community Development Center. This nonprofit has been focused on helping prevent the spread of COVID in the Single Room Occupancy Housing. The meals are locally sourced from Chinatown restaurants. Lim's determination to help his community has brought hope to these restaurants and the Chinatown Community Development Center. Aaron is a Giants season ticket member who is stepping up during this tremendous time of need, raising more than K!. He is truly One in A Million!
